Oh, Mary! Las Vegas Theatre reviews
Band is washed-up
The band, unfortunately, is not the same as it used to be. They played songs that I had never heard before, which put the crowd to sleep. The warm-up band actually generated more excitement than Oh, Mary!. One hour and fifteen minutes on stage was way too short considering the number of hits they could have performed. They should stick to playing the hits if they want to keep the audience engaged. If they are not enjoying themselves or are tired of performing, they should consider giving up. People pay to hear what they know, not what the band feels like playing.
The lead singer used to put effort into making the songs sound like the originals, but during this performance, he seemed to lack energy and sounded out of breath while singing. The t-shirts were priced between $40-$50, which was considered too expensive by many attendees. Our teenage daughter and her friend wanted to buy t-shirts, but we found the prices to be astronomical and didn't allow them to make the purchase. It was surprising to see that the band couldn't fill the lower two sections of the venue. If they reduced the prices of their merchandise, they could potentially sell more and increase their visibility post-concert.
Overall, we were greatly disappointed by the event. The $99 tickets for a 1hr 15min show felt like a rip-off. In comparison, we had previously paid around $50 each to see Keith Urban and two other bands in Nashville, where Keith performed for 2.5 hours solo.
